Feenx Art

One of my many passions is artistic expression in all forms and much to my delight I stumbled upon a painting technique a few years ago that allows me to explore my own creative abilities while maintaining a uniquely me twist to each new piece. The paintings are done on mirrors, using an extremely thin paint that requires an incredible number of layers but that also opens the door for more adventurous play in terms of color usage. Each piece reflects whatever light happens to be in the room and as the light changes so to do the art itself. The image can shift and seem to come alive depending on where the light is, how much light there is and where the viewer is standing. I have had so much fun creating pieces in the past for friends and family that I thought perhaps it was time to also make my art available to the public.

The Pictures shown here are pieces that have been previously done and sold or given to others so these are only here as examples of my work. I will accept commissions however, for pieces done to your specific interests and energy. Please contact me for details with regards to personalized pieces.

Asian Style Representation of Our Family

Close ups of the Family Portrait

Each and every detail in this painting was researched extensively as to meaning and purpose within the Asian Culture - every single color, animal and plant represents either a family member or an emotion or energy that is tied closely to our family dynamic - I do plan once it is framed to have it displayed with a full explanation as to what each symbol and color means so stay tuned...

Auction Piece for Sick Kids Charity Ball

This very special piece was designed to be auctioned to the Toronto Sick Kids Hospital Charity Ball.  Aprox. 3.5 feet wide by 5 feet tall it was a complex piece that integrated all the words that represent Sick Kids Hospital into a nature Scene - There are 8 words hidden in the painting - Understanding - Faith - Hope - Love - Life - Family - Care - Dream.  To this day it remains my all time favorite piece of art.

Guard Dragon

Wall - Red Latex Wall Paint
Artists Whim

This piece guarded the hallway between my daughters and my rooms in our Danforth Apt. in Toronto ON - The hallway was extremely narrow and I did not have a very good camera at the time so I had to take it in sections and at an angle - I used a photo editing program to put the sections together to give a more clear representation of what the finished piece looked like.  It was wall - wall - floor to ceiling.
